NNA - Families of the kidnapped Lebanese in Ezaz organized a sit-in on Saturday in front of the Security Information Branch in Achrafieh, in protest against the security arrest of a number of said family members.


A security blockade was immediately enforced around the neighborhood as a result.


Speaking on behalf of sit-in participants, Sheikh Abbas Zgheib, who is commissioned by the Supreme Shiite Council to follow-up on the kidnapped issue, criticized the approach of the Information Branch in dealing with families of the kidnapped.


Zgheib considered that the Information Branch's attitude actually serves to push families of the kidnapped towards moves that are not to the benefit of Lebanon's stability.


"However, the awareness of the Beirut Suburb region families is greater than being vulnerable to any plot by the Information Branch," stressed Zgheib.
