NNA - Arab Faour townsmen attempted Thursday to cut-off the road leading to their town, east of Zahle, in protest against the killing of their fellow citizen, Amer Itani, NNA correspondent in Zahle reported.


Itani fell during the open fire incident that occurred earlier Thursday while a Lebanese Army patrol unit was tracking down a number of fugitives in the aforementioned town, NNA correspondent indicated.


Families of Arab Faour set up a tent in the middle of the road leading to their town, where they received condolences for Itani's loss.
