NNA - Prime Minister-designate Tammam Salam met on Wednesday with caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel who informed him about the security measures to be adopted during Fitr Eid, mainly in Tripoli.



Salam also received the U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly within a farewell visit.



The LBC Governor, Riyadh Salameh, visited Salam today and discussed with him the latest financial developments and the economic situation in Lebanon.



Salam met afterwards with MP Nadim Gemayel. The latter called for speeding up the government formation to solve the social and economic problems.



Gemayel handed Salam with an invitation to attend the August 23 ceremony to be held to commemorate the election of late President Bachir Gemayel, as one of Down Town Beirut's streets will be named after the late President.



Also, Salam met with a delegation of the WLCU headed by Michel Douaihi.
