NNA - Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri tackled with the Wednesday Deputies the current situation and the latest political developments, with special focus on the pending dossiers.
On a different note, Berri received a telegram from U.S. President Barack Obama, congratulating him on Eid al-Fitr, in his name and on behalf of the American people.
He also received congratulatory telegrams from the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and former Deputy Prime Minister Issam Fares.
Later on, Berri met with the U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Maura Connelly, who came on a farewell visit upon the end of her diplomatic mission in Beirut, with talks featuring high on recent updates.
