Fireshots in Tripoli protesting judicial council's sentence

NNA - A group of youth departing from Amira Mosque in Tripoli gathered in Abdul Hamid Karami's Square only to launch fireshots in the air to protest against the judicial council that sentenced Amira Mosque Imam, Sheikh Tarek Murhi, to 15-year imprisonment, after the incident pertaining to the explosion in Tal region in Tripoli on August 8, 2013.

The Lebanese Army and security forces immediately rushed to the scene and worked in restoring calm.

Sheikh Tarek Murhi's brother, Tarek Murhi, said that the protesters went to gather in front of PM Najib Mikati's house to hold high the mottos reading: "You promised us of a sentence of innocence but surprised us by imprisonment."
