NNA - Caretaker Education and Higher Learning Minister, Hassan Diab, and Swiss Ambassador to Lebanon, Ruth Flint, jointly put their signatures Thursday on a memorandum of understanding related to the rehabilitation of 13 public schools in the region of Akkar.



The 13 schools' buildings- which will be rehabilitated in accordance with signed memorandum- are currently putting up with problems related to humidity, lack of clean drinking water and toilets, not to mention necessary hygiene conditions.



The signature ceremony took place in the presence of Education Ministry Director General, Fadi Yark, and representatives of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland.



Speaking on the occasion, Minister Diab dwelt on the importance of cooperation with international agencies concerned with addressing educational, social and humanitarian affairs, notably with respect to securing proper educational, healthy atmospheres.
