NNA - National News Agency correspondent reported Thursday the release of Toni Amine Nader, Lebanese, who was kidnapped in Nigeria on July 9.


His family took note of his liberation earlier today, weeks after an armed group in the African country claimed responsibility for his abduction.


Toni will arrive soon in Lebanon, his brother said.


His relatives were keen to thank Lebanese officials who intensified their efforts to free him, among whom Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour, Lebanon ambassador to Nigeria, and Head of the municipality of Qobayat, Nader's hometown in North Lebanon.
