NNA - The European Union Ambassador to Lebanon, Angelina Eichhorst, on Wednesday asserted that the EU's decision to put Hezbollah on the terror list only targeted the military wing of the party.
The EU diplomat's words came during a meeting with the Islamic Shiite Council Deputy Head, Sheikh Abdul Emir Qabalan, to whom she relayed the EU's support for dialogue among the Lebanese.
She also voiced the EU's relentless support to all the efforts which aim to push Lebanon forward towards peace and prosperity.
Eichhorst also held similar meetings today with Outgoing Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Future bloc Leader, Foaud Siniora.
"Terrorist attacks targeting European countries is in no way acceptable," Eichhorst said in reference to Burgas - Bulgaria bus bombing back in 2012 -- an accident which the EU claimed had been perpetrated by Hezbollah.
"The EU opposes impunity and supports justice," she said, confirming that dialogue is still ongoing between the EU and Lebanese sides, including
Hezbollah.
