NNA - A funeral ceremony on Sunday in the southern village of Beit Leef brought together head of Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, MP Mohammad Raad, and Amal Movement MP, Ayoub Homeid, who agreed that there is utmost consensus between the two Shiite powers.
Unimpressed by recent steps taken by some to endorse the candidacy of MP Michel Aoun for president, Raad said that his party relied on factual data and not grandiose statements for those who were applying the "better late than never" method.
"There is complete agreement between Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and head of Amal Movement [House Speaker] Nabih Berri over this Constitutional deadline," explained Raad.
"The goal is to preserve the victories of the resistant people...and to keep the road open to the Resistance and its choice in this country."
Raad insisted that despite minor differences in viewpoints, both Hezbollah and Amal remain united over the aspirations of the people.
Homeid echoed Raad's words, confirming that agreement was not for the sake of personal interests, but for the sake of the country's dignity.
"Those who wager on divergence between Hezbollah and Amal Movement are confused and do not realize that...things cannot go backwards."
