NNA - Marada movement leader MP Sleiman Frangieh told AL Nour radio on Thursday that if he was to choose between General Jean Kahwaji and Brigadier General Chamel Roukoz for the LAF command, he would opt for General Roukoz.
Frangieh explained that there was a difficulty in ensuring the majority to appoint an army Commander, yet, he said that if General Michel Aoun could guarantee a majority for any leader he shall have our support.
"If we were to choose between vacuum and extending General Kahwaji's term, then we would definitely favor the extension choice," he remarked.
With reference to the Lebanese security situation, Marada leader said that the situation in Lebanon has become very serious with the presence of the Syrian refugees' weapons, which were added to the already present Palestinian weapons.
On the government formation issue, Frangieh deemed it better to have a government formed soon, for any bad choice will reflect on the streets.
"Forming a monochromatic government is worse than not forming one at all," he said.
