NNA - Caretaker Information Minister, Walid Daouk, heaped praises on the government's dissociation policy, describing it as "the best accomplishment" by Mikati-led cabinet.



Minister Daouk's words came Wednesday in an interview to "Voice of Lebanon" Radio Station, where he dwelt on an array of media, political and regional matters.



Daouk hoped that a new government will be formed as quickly as possible in line with the Lebanese people's aspirations, indicating that current political polarization caused its delay.



He called for "the interpretation of constitutional provisions" in a bid to stabilize the situation, hailing the role of President of the Republic, Michel Sleiman, in his unremitting quest to secure stability through the adoption of dialogue.



In reply to a question, Daouk hoped that Hezbollah will maintain its role in mainly resisting the Israeli enemy.



Daouk also underlined the need to preserve Lebanon's gas and oil resources, ruling out the holding of a cabinet session in the near future.



In reply to another question, Daouk indicated that Lebanon's salvation lies through partnership between the private and the public sectors, voicing support to media liberties.
