NNA - Sidon's Security sub-Council convened Monday and urged religious leaders to avoid sectarian speeches to preserve the City's civil peace and security.
Conferees called for intensifying army patrols in Sidon and in nearby regions to maintain peace and security.
They also agreed upon preventing rallies until further notice, affirming that the army will not be lenient with offenders as it shall take necessary measures to safeguard security and civil peace.
During their meeting, participants said that signs will be prohibited, for they might stir up sectarian strives and fireworks during the month of Ramadan shall also be banned.
They solicited municipalities to fulfill their monitoring role and work hand-in-hand with security forces to implement all aforesaid measures en route to preserve civil peace.
