NNA - Change and Reform Parliamentary Bloc Head, MP Michel Aoun, considered that all people in the Middle East are minorities since they are deprived of their rights as citizens.


Aoun disclosed that his recent meetings with members of the diplomatic corp come as an initiative to open up to all, in a bid to hold dialogue over problems and obstacles confronted in Lebanon due to Middle East prevailing circumstances.


"My recent diplomatic encounters, namely with Saudi, Iranian and Syrian ambassadors, and before that with the US ambassador, fall within the framework of openness to all, in a bid to help bring perspectives closer between sides of dispute in Lebanon," said Aoun, speaking to "Radio Monte Carlo" Station on Saturday.


Responding to a question regarding his relations with Hezbollah, Aoun indicated that the understanding with the Party still persists at the strategic level. "As for Hezbollah's relations with the outside, we have nothing to do with that," added Aoun.


Aoun called herein for differentiating between Hezbollah's weapons at the internal level and its arms along the Lebanese borders. "Hezbollah's weapons have never been deployed anywhere in the country, but have always been, and still exist, along the borders," he added.
