NNA - Future Parliamentary bloc member MP Jamal Jarrah stressed on Saturday his bloc's position which opposes the election of MP Michel Aoun as president because "he is not an independent president, doesn't have a national agenda and doesn't represent the Christians' public opinion."

The MP ruled out the possibility of electing MP Michel Aoun as a president of the Republic in the upcoming parliamentary session on 28 September 2016.

The MP told "Voice of Lebanon" radio that Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri's support to the election of MP Sleiman Franjieh as president came in the context of presenting concessions to end power void.

Talking about the parliamentary elections file, Jarrah ruled out possibility to agree on a new electoral law amid the terms presented by some parties to attend the legislative sessions.
