NNA - Under the auspices of the Minister of Economy and Trade Nicolas Nahhas and in collaboration with the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Union in Lebanon, the Lebanese Distinguished Women Award 2012 will be granted, on Monday July 9 at the UNESCO Palace in Beirut, to seven winners selected among fifteen women nominated from different sectors.
The prize will be divided into seven different categories to be awarded to distinguished women whose names had marked different medical, business, social, financial, engineering and media fields.
National News Agency Director, Mrs. Laure Sleiman Saab, has been selected - on March 20 - among the 15 nominees who deserved to be granted the award.
It is worth noting that this competition was launched for the first time in Dubai, back in 2003.
According to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mohammed Shukeir, "this award is a major step to highlight the role of Lebanese women and to shed light on their contribution in various fields."
"It is a mark of respect dedicated for distinguished women," Shukeir said.
