NNA - Outgoing Prime Minister Najib Mikati met Monday at the Grand Serail with the Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ioannis Kasoulides, over the bilateral ties between the two countries and the long-simmering issue of the joint Exclusive Economic Zone.



The pair also discussed the dossier of the Syrian displaced in Lebanon.



"I am very glad to be here in Lebanon, coming from a country that is not just near in geography, but we are also close to Lebanon and the Lebanese. We held important talks with Prime Minister Mikati, whereby we highlighted the necessity to work together in all fields for the interest of our countries," the Cypriot Minister told reporters following the meeting.
