NNA - "Lebanese Kataeb" Party Central Committee Coordinator, Sami Gemayel, implored Prime Minister-designate, Tammam Salam, to form a government as soon as possible, since vacuum is considered harmful to everyone.



Deputy Gemayel's fresh stance came in the context of Kataeb Party's regular, weekly meeting Monday, where he regretted that some sides in the country do not want a state, but rather seek "de-voiding institutions."



Gemayel also said that Hezbollah should be aware that what is currently taking place does not fall in its favor, considering its present undertakings as bringing harm to all the Lebanese.



"Hezbollah should dissociate Lebanon from the entry of extremists into Lebanon," he stressed.



MP Gemayel hoped that the Lebanese people would remain resolute and steadfast to their country, saying that the peaceful Lebanese people have "become a hostage of some armed groups in the absence of the state, which was supposed to be protecting the Lebanese."



"We shall always demand the spreading of state authority over all Lebanese territories," Gemayel said, urging President of the Republic Michel Sleiman to hit with an iron fist.



The MP also urged President Sleiman to restore powers and impose a sort of authority on the existing political life in Lebanon, which "we are in great need of," as he said.
