NNA - Lebanese President Michel Sleiman on Monday took up the latest security up-to-dates, against the backdrop of killing three Lebanese Shiite men and a Turk in Baalbeck region, during his meeting with Outgoing Premier Najib Mikati.



Sleiman also went over the Lebanese security developments during his meeting with LAF Commander General Jean Kahwaji.



Caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel also visited Baabda palace today and discussed with Sleiman the security forces' role to pursue offenders and crime perpetrators and bring them to Justice.



The President met afterwards with Caretaker Social Affairs Minister Wael Abou Faour.


Talks touched on the Ministry's works and ongoing cooperation with local and international bodies, to solve the Syrian refugees' issue.



At another level, the President cabled newly elected Iranian President Sheikh Hassan Rouhani and congratulated him for being elected.


Sleiman hoped Lebanese-Iranian ties would witness further cooperation.



The President chaired today a meeting in presence of Caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel and the disciplinary body of the municipal council's head, or his deputy.



The meeting aimed at setting the foundations for activating the body's works in punishing municipality heads in case of any breaches.
