NNA - Caretaker Environment Minister Nazem Khoury on Monday urged politicians to discuss the major causes of the Syrian events and not be solely restricted to the Parliament and government formation issues.



Speaking to Al Fajer radio, Khoury voiced sorrow over the killing incident of Hashem Salman of the Intima party, and affirmed the Syrian events' impacts on Lebanon.



"This incident is dangerous and a bad sign," he remarked and called on the security forces to take actions.



On the topic of March 14's drafting a letter to the Lebanese President and the UN Secretary General about Hezbollah's involvement in Syria, Caretaker Minister said he had no information in that respect.



Asked about the challenge in the Parliament's term extension, Khoury said the President's battle was not political.



He said the Constitutional Council's decision should never be read as a victory of one team over another.



"In case the Council accepts the challenge then its decision would be mandatory and the Parliament should convene to hold elections as per the '60s law," he said.
