NNA - Hundreds of thousands of angry Turks have braved Erdogan's plea to stop protests by taking to the streets of Istanbul and scores of other Turkish cities today.



Protesters in Taxime Square,- Istanbul's Tahreer Square, were soon joined by local football club fans who took advantage of the withdrawal of policemen from their last outpost bordering the Square to make their pro-revolt stance.



Earlier, incoming news flashed from the capital Ankara, showed policemen firing massive barrages of teargas with colored water hoses opening up on over than 10,000 demonstrators in Kizelai Square which erupted in revolt following weeks of relative quiet.
