NNA - French Foreign Ministry Crisis Cell Director, Didier Le Bret, shall pay a visit to Lebanon to tackle with officials displaced Syrians' issue, French Embassy in Beirut said in a statement on Thursday.
Le Bret said that France allocated a sum of USD 6.4 million to agencies affiliated to the United Nations, notably UNHCR and UNRWA, and other humanitarian organizations operating in the service of refugees in Lebanon.
"France allocated USD 6.2 million to UNRWA to fund its programs designed for Palestinians residing in Lebanon and two million dollars to UNHCR -special allocations- in the framework of the regional plan to face up to the Syrian crisis, as prepared by the Agency," Le Bret said.
French Embassy statement said that France braces Lebanon in the ordeal related to the influx of displaced people from Syria and highly appreciates its exerted efforts in hosting them on Lebanese territory.
