NNA - Rocket-firing into southern Beirut is designed to trigger off Lebanese strife, care-taker Defense minister Fayez Ghosn warned in his public statement today.



Apart from destabilizing the country, major beneficiaries of such acts would be the plethora of enemies of Lebanon, Ghosn exclaimed. Today's attempt comes within the context of dragging Lebanon into strife-something which we all must strive to stop.



Ghosn capitalized on Lebanese acute sense of awareness in warding off such negative repercussions saying their unity remains to be the best guarantee.



He cautioned against rife speculation as per circumstances surrounding the incident, saying just leave things to the army and security to pursue investigations.
