NNA - I beseeched Nabih Berri to extend parliament mandate by two years, Druze politician of the Democratic Party, disclosed upon emerging out of a meeting with the House Speaker at his Ein-Teeneh residence today.



Arslan justified his call for a lengthy parliament mandate extension by the prevailing insecurity including the explosive situation in Tripoli which renders holding any immediate elections practically impossible.



Earlier and, in a press release marking the 13th anniversary of Israel's withdrawal from South Lebanon, Arslan sang Hezbollah's praises saying party weapons must be kept under all circumstances in order to fight American designs against Syria and Lebanon.
