NNA - Maronite Patriarch, Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi, regreted the ongoing failure to approve on a new elections law that provides fair popular representation, saying that the Christians do not bear the responsibility for such failure as they are united in this concern.
Rahi's words came Friday upon his arrival at Rafic Hariri International Airport.
However, Rahi urged that the elections take place on their due constitutional date and that "Lebanon preserve the democratic performance and the principle of power rotation without which Lebanon would be losing everything."
The Patriarch called for national unity between Christians and Muslims and he refused plunging Lebanon into the axis of regional conflicts.
