NNA - The United Kingdom sees that there is no possibility for a solution to the conflict in Syria as long as Bashar Assad remains on top of power, British Foreign Secretary, William Hague, said Wednesday.



"The position of the UK has for long been that Assad must leave and that no solution can be envisaged if he is still in power," Hague told a joint news conference he held with his Jordanian counterpart, Nasser Joudeh.



For his part, Joudeh reiterated his country's "constant" stance calling for speeding up the political solution which would guarantee Syria's security, safety, and territorial integrity, with the participation of all the components of the Syrian people.
