NNA - MP Nabil Nicolas on Friday disclosed facts about the Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea's phone call with Maronite Patriarch Mar Beshara Boutros Rahi, earlier this week.
Change and Reform bloc MP corresponded word for word what Geagea said as follows: "We haven't reached an agreement yet with our March 14 allies on an electoral law. Therefore, we are going to vote on the Orthodox Law."
Nicolas said that after the phone call, Maronite Patriarch replied to Geagea and said that "We are with the Christian unity."
Nicolas said that last Tuesday, Rahi received a phone call from MP Georges Adwan.
He then repeated Adwan's words verbatim: "We have reached an agreement, with our March 14 allies, on an electoral law."
Rahi told Adwan the need of informing MPs Michel Aoun and Sleiman Frangieh about any agreement before publicly announcing it, "for in Bkerke, we agreed upon going united to the Parliament with any electoral law in hand."
Nicolas went on to explain that after this phone call, no one informed neither MP Aoun nor MP Frangieh about what happened.
The MP said that Rahi counseled Christian leaders "to be united in order not to be a scapegoat."
"We shall keep our promises and we shall give back Christians their rights," Nicolas said.
