NNA - Kataeb Deputy Sami Gemayel said Tuesday the country was heading to the worse, noting that the solution consists of preserving the constitutional institutions and working on endorsing the elections law.



"Since day one, we said we would not put hindrances and we presented a proposal," he told reporters following a meeting for the House Communication Committee at the Parliament.



Gemayel underlined that it was time for House Speaker Nabih Berri to convene a session for the Parliament in the nearest time possible.



"We must not leave the final word for violence and weapons," he stressed.



He also called upon the President of the Republic, Michel Sleiman, to dispatch the Lebanese army to control the Lebanese-Syrian borders, in tandem with the UNIFIL.



Besides, he lambasted the calls for Jihad in Syria, whether by Hezbollah or others.
