Bassil thanks Cypriot counterpart for contribution to Lebanese Army

NNA - Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister, Gebran Bassil, on Friday cabled a thank you letter to his Cypriot counterpart, Ioannis Kasoulidis, following his country's bounteous contribution to the Lebanese Army.

French Navy vessel "Tangara" arrives in Beirut port on the 30th of October carrying the second shipment of the Cypriot grant to the Lebanese Army.

"Lebanon and its army have been delving into an existential battle against terror and other threats," Bassil said in his cable.

The Minister also thanked Kasoulidis for his "personal effort" achieving the step, and said that he looked forward to boosting relations between Lebanon and Cyprus at all levels.
