NNA - General Prosecutor, Judge Hatem Madi, on Tuesday requested the House of Parliament to strip MP Moein Merehbi of his parliamentary immunity, at the back drop of an incident in which the MP fired shots in the air to disperse traffic in the northern city of Tripoli.
Madi said that MP Merehbi attempted to take over a military vehicle by the use of an unlicensed gun to remove a security checkpoint.
"Merehbi's immunity should be lifted so that we can judicially pursue him over these incidents," Madi added.
