Passenger vehicle slides into enemy conflict zone in Adeysseh

NNA - A small passengers' van deviated from the main highway in the town of Adeysseh in South Lebanon on Sunday, sliding to a conflict zone with the Israeli enemy, NNA correspondent reported. He added that a number of passengers were injured as a result and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

In details, the vehicle carrying 12 passengers was heading on its way from Beirut to the town of Rab Thalatheen in the South. However, upon reaching the town of Adeysseh, it incurred an emergency malfunction. As the vehicle was being towed into the aforementioned town, it hit a pick-up truck on the way, which caused it to slide down approximately 100 meters and settle along a roadside in eastern Adeysseh, falling within a zone of conflict between Lebanon and the Israeli enemy.

UNIFIL's Indonesian Contingent soldiers in the area rushed immediately to the scene of the accident to aid injured passengers. Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces units also arrived at the scene, initiating investigations into the incident.
