NNA - Vegetable Truckers are reportedly still grounded at Abboudiyyeh crossing, NNA field correspondents said. Trucks at the risk of losing their staled cargo of vegetables have been kept in waiting for 3 days now.



The Syrian decision not to allow vegetable truckers into Syria apparently comes in retaliation for Lebanese farmers' blocking of Syrian truckers for fear of Syrian agricultural competition.



Truckers might be forced to reroute their produce towards Iraq and the Gulf once Assad persists in closing Abboudiyyeh crossing drivers told the NNA.
