NNA - MP Nawar Sahili insisted Sunday that the President, executive authorities and Lebanese Army protect Hermel from shells targeting the region from Syrian territories, warning against possible retaliation.


He described the Hermel attacks as a "desperate reaction from defeated gangs that did not preserve historic and geographic relations connecting Hermel with neighboring Syria."


"Hermel hosts thousands of Syrians...at a time when its residential neighborhoods are being bombed indiscriminately."
