NNA - Caretaking Water and Energy Minister, Gebran Bassil, stressed that no one can eliminate his parliamentary bloc, for the era of exclusion is long gone. He added that the caretaking government cannot be taken as an excuse to halt his projects at the Ministry, especially with regards to oil excavation works.


Bassil's fresh stance came during his laying the cornerstone for the new Mseilha Dam on Sunday.


Over the new government formation, Bassil considered that whoever calls for a non-political government would actually be abandoning the Taef Accord since the latter stipulated that the cabinet denotes the executive authority. Hence, it ought to be political by default, he noted.


Bassil stressed that no side can ever isolate Lebanon; adding that the "Memorandum of Understanding" signed by his Bloc was actually intended for preserving Lebanon as an entity.
