NNA - "In wake of the sand storm hitting Lebanon for the past 24 hours, 606 people with severe breathing conditions have been taken to various hospitals across the country," an issued statement by the Lebanese Red Cross indicated Wednesday.

"The Red Cross is maintaining a state of alert to tend to all incoming emergency calls," the statement added.

"First aid has also been given to patients suffering from mild breathing difficulties, without necessitating hospital admission," the statement went on, reminding citizens of the Red Cross' free hotline number 140 for any emergency cases.
