NNA - Caretaker Minister of Education and Higher Learning, Hassan Diab, held Wednesday at his office in the Ministry a news conference to announce the launching of the National Day for Students with Learning Difficulties, scheduled for forthcoming April 22, at UNESCO Palace.



A panel of concerned personalities and representatives of concerned institutions attended the event, with the special participation of Lebanon's eminent star Ragheb Alama.



In his address, Diab said students with learning difficulties were fully entitled to social and educational integration. But he noted that such a step required special planning, awareness, and the preparation of competent human cadres.



As underlining the Ministry's support for the civil society in that respect, he said it was also ready to collaborate with all associations and organization supporting these students' integration.



He added that today's event was clear-cut evidence that the current political crisis and the government resignation could not hamper the Ministry's perseverance and determination to finalize this project and to heed these students the special care they needed.
