NNA - Officials must forsake narrow selfish interests for the sake of the rise of the country, Maronite patriarch Bshara Rahi, preached in his Easter homily at Bkirki today.
Having officiated over Easter service and following recitations relevant to Easter from the New Testament, the patriarch urged political authorities concerned to work for human resource capacity building since in his words "civil servants happen to serve the Lord One for the benefit of the People."
A state official must act in a spirit of self-denial in quest of the resurrection of both laity and homeland, patriarch Rahi concluded.
