NNA - Outgoing Premier Najib Mikati tackled Thursday with the US Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly the latest political developments at the local and regional levels.



Later on, Mikati received at the Grand Serail caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Adnan Mansour with whom he discussed an array of general affairs.



Al-Jamaa Islamiya delegation also visited the caretaker Premier this Thursday, headed by Deputy Imad Hout who said that the meeting was an occasion to discuss the government resignation.



"We agreed that this resignation could help lessening the tension and finding exists from the most recent political crisis," he said, assuring that the government to be formed must be tasked to prepare for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
