NNA - MP Michel Aoun said he would participate in any national dialogue in condition that such dialogue would discuss the parliamentary elections law. He stressed that the elections law must be solved before studying the cabinet issue, "especially that constitutional due dates must be respected."
Aoun's fresh stance came Tuesday in the context of a regular meeting for the Bloc of Reform and Change at his residence in Rabieh.
General Aoun reiterated his support for the Orthodox Gathering law as the "only one that can provide fair popular representation in accordance with Article 24 of the Constitution."
Aoun said the cabinet's resignation would not prevent the house of parliament from assuming its legislation duties.
The General denied that he would decisively not name Najib Mikati for chairing any upcoming cabinet.
