NNA - Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Beshara Boutros Rahi chaired Friday a meeting at Bkirki for the top Christian leaders to follow up on elections-related talks the prelate had held in Rome with House Speaker, Nabih Berri, and Prime Minister, Najib Mikati.



The meeting comprised Kataeb Party Head Amine Gemayel, Head of Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun, MP Sleiman Franjieh, Deputy George Adwan representing Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, and MPs Boutros Harb, Alain Aoun, and Sami Gemayel, as well as former Ministers Ziad Baroud and Youssef Saade.



A closing statement issued by Bkirki's press office said conferees confirmed openness to any option aimed to bring closer viewpoints among the Lebanese and to contribute to finding solution to the current crisis.



Conferees also agreed to intensify relevant talks with the concerned parties, based upon the principles already clinched during previous Bkirki meetings.
