NNA - Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, said "the Mother is the family, school, university and limitless culture. She is the friend and the governess, the world's secret and a minaret for life's darkness that opens the scope before a clear visionary and promising future."



Mikati's words came during a meeting Thursday at the Grand Serail with a delegation of the Mothers and National Institutions Committee.



Separately, Mikati decorated head of the Civil Service Board, Dr. Khalid Qabbani, with a cedars medal on the occasion of his reaching the retirement age.



As to the Grand Serail's visitors, Mikati received former House Speaker, Hussein Husseini, and reviewed with him overall developments at the local scene.



He also received the Iraqi Ambassador, Omar Barzenji, on a farewell visit due to the end of his diplomatic mission in Lebanon.



Amongst the Grand Serail's visitors had been General Security Director, Brigadier Abbas Ibrahim, MEA chairman, Mohammad Hout, and others.
