NNA - French President Francois Hollande Thursday said the US President's visit to Israel promotes the peace process in the Middle East.



Hollande called on the Palestinian and Israeli sides to hold direct and unconditioned negotiations with the support of the international community.



On a different note, Hollande stressed the need to ban Iran from owning nuclear weapons.
