NNA - March 14 General Secretariat on Wednesday stressed that the attack targeting four Muslim Sheikhs in Beirut Sunday evening was an assault on the state's security and prestige as well as on people's safety, calling for referring the case to the justice council due to the enormity of its degree.



March 14 accordingly called upon the state to assume its responsibilities in this concern and put terms to such suspicious actions.



The Secretariat appreciated President Michel Sleiman's initiative of directing Lebanese Foreign Minister to adopt diplomatic measures in terms of summoning the Syrian Ambassador to look over the Syrian regime's violations of Lebanon's sovereignty, especially the raids against Arsal that contravened the Arab League Charter as well as the international resolutions.



March 14 forces, in this connection, called upon the government to file an international lawsuit against the regime. The movement affirmed its demand for deploying Lebanese Army units on the Lebanese Syrian borders, along with an international force unit, in accordance with clause 14 of resolution 1701.
