NNA - We favour holding elections on time, minister of State for Administrative Development Muhammad Fneish, told a Hizbullah political rally in the southern Lebanese village of Yater today. Fneish reiterated party rejection of outside intervention particularly by the USA in deciding the electoral outcome as he said.



The minister renewed party backing for the salary scale in the hope that it gets approved by the Cabinet during its upcoming session, next Thursday.



Fneish commended the Prime Minister for his positive role in allaying obstacles facing the Cabinet but declared opposition to the teachers' open strikes out of concern of missing on the scholastic year.



The minister dropped Code # 60 in favour of another substitute preferably based on proportionality and unitary electoral department. He exclaimed as to how colleagues desist from criticizing the US Ambassadress and, concluded that with the demise of the Greek-Orthodox law, Hizbullah finds itself prone to settle on some hybrid electoral law deemed constitutionally acceptable to all
