NNA - Former Prime Minister, Fouad Siniora, voiced rejection of the notion of the Orthodox Gathering, saying it constitutes a first step towards the nation's disintegration and division.
Siniora visited on Thursday, in the company of March 14 deputies and senior dignitaries, Martyrs' Statue in Downtown Beirut and late Premier Rafic Hariri's tomb, marking 8th commemoration of Independence uprising.
"We cling to the Taef Accord and national coexistence formula among all the Lebanese," Siniora said.
Siniora also expressed keenness on holding forthcoming parliamentary elections as scheduled.
