NNA - Sheikh Ahmad Assir confirmed on Friday that he would continue mobilizing with a view to halting the execution of what he termed "the Iranian project" in Lebanon.



The controversial Sheikh did neither fail to slam Hezbollah support for the Syrian regime nor to lash out at Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour's position at the Arab League earlier this week.



"The decisions of the Higher Defense Council are those of Hezbollah to turn Sidon into a military casern. All the measures taken by the Lebanese army and the Internal Security Forces will not prevent us from carrying on our mobilizations," the Imam of Bilal Bin Rabah's Mosque told his fans following Friday prayers.



National News Agency correspondent earlier reported that a group of his supporters had gathered at Morjan roundabout, amid tightened security measures.
