NNA - "Change and Reform" bloc member Deputy Nabil Nicolas urged to summon the U.S Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly and question her for her intervention in the Lebanese affairs.
"The delay of Speaker of the House Nabih Berri to invite the General Assembly to convene was a matter of giving a chance to reach consensus, but President Michel Sleiman and Prime Minister Najib Mikati by signing the invitation decree did not take this issue into consideration and bowed to the desire of the U.S administration," the MP said.
Nicolas told "Sawt El Shaab" radio on Wednesday that he is against extending or renewing the term of the parliament, confirming his support to hold elections on schedule.
"Elections should be held on time in accordance with an electoral law which provides true partnership," the MP emphasized.
On the other hand, the MP said the UCC's demands are righteous, holding Mikati responsible for not referring the salary scale to the House of Representatives.
