NNA - UCC (Union Coordination Committee) staged on Monday morning its sit-in in front of the Industry Ministry.
The committee's head Hanna Gharib stressed that the open-ended strike would remain until salary scale issue is referred to the Parliament.
Gharib addressed President Michel Sleiman by saying that tomorrow's sit-in would be at Baabda Palace junction at 10:00 am, and calling upon him to set the salary scale issue on the Cabinet's agenda and "we will be grateful."
He added that no one so far has assured UCC of referring the salary scale to the Parliament; duly, demonstrations were not cancelled.
"The battle will continue whatever sacrifices will be," Gharib stressed.
