Saint George Hospital confirms Hazim's condition stable

NNA - The administration of Saint George Hospital in Beirut confirmed Tuesday evening that the condition of Patriarch Ignatius IV Hazim was stable, after he had a stroke earlier this morning.

A number of politicians had been to the hospital to check on Hazim's health condition, among whom Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil, MP Atef Majdalani, former Ministers Ibrahim Najjar, Michel Edde, Beshara Merhej and Elie Salem, as well as Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, and Beirut Greek Orthodox Archbishop Elias Audi.

Patriarch Hazim is now at the Intensive Care Unit, with a team of specialized physicians supervising his treatment.
