NNA - A ceremony was held this Wednesday at the Benoit Barakat Barracks - Tyre, to hand over to the LAF equipment to combat the Coronavirus pandemic as a gift from the Spanish force operating within the UNIFIL. The ceremony was attended by Spanish Ambassador Jose Maria de la Ferry, and top LAF and UNIFIL officers.

The Spanish ambassador delivered a speech in which he stressed "the importance of friendly relations between the two countries," praising "the efforts made by Lebanon and Spain to confront the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic."

He also praised the "cooperation between the Army and the Spanish unit operating within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon."
