NNA - The confrontations between riot police and citizens protesting the economic and living conditions, outside the Tripoli Serail building, escalated this evening as the security forces continued to use water cannons and toss tear gas bombs to disperse demonstrators.

Protesters attempting to break into the Serail building are stoning the security forces and throwing Molotov cocktails at military vehicles.

23 have fallen wounded as a result, some of whom were transported in Red Cross vehicles to nearby hospitals.
